Every day has 24 hours in it. This might seem like a lot, but if you really think about it, it isn’t many. We spend a third of our day cuddled in our beds fast asleep. We spend another third of our day at work, and the rest of our day seems to fly by unnoticed. How can we find success in one hour? The answer is simple; the hour first thing in the morning.
Have you ever noticed how crucial the first hour of the day is? If you have a bad day the source usually starts here. You may feel rushed and stressed because you have to get yourself and your kids ready to go about your days on time. You carry all of this stress to work, where you will notice that you get even more stressed. It usually just turns out to be one big mess. If you feel rushed in the morning or will feel that you barely have time to get out the door, go to sleep a little bit earlier you will be able to wake up in the morning earlier too, leaving yourself plenty of time to get ready and not feel rushed.
If you start this first hour great, it will carry on for the rest of the day. You will feel more and more motivated by what you are doing and it will be easy to keep it up, as opposed to being stressed out and having a hard time keeping up. If you get the first hour of your day right, you will see success during that day.
Waking up in the morning is hard for a lot of people, which was why I wrote the article
Waking Up Early and Why You Should. That article gives you tips on how to wake up early in the morning with enough energy to go about your entire day. The first thing in the morning is something you need to get right to be successful that day.
There are a couple of things you can do in the morning to help you become successful that day. One I would highly recommend doing more than the others is eating breakfast. You know how they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Well, I am a firm believer of that. You want to get some protein and wholegrains with this breakfast too. This should leave you feeling full until lunch, therefore keeping you focused on what is to come.
Meditation is something else that you can do to bring success to your day. Just sitting in peace and quiet for a few minutes every morning will allow you to gather your thoughts and figure out what you are going to accomplish that day. Meditating also relieves stress, so you won’t be at people’s throats as often.
Another great thing to add to your morning routine is working out. Doing it for just fifteen minutes every day after you wake up will give you tons of energy to help you throughout the day. If you keep it up every day you will begin to see your energy levels increase. No longer will you need the help of caffeinated coffee. Exercising is also something else that will help you relieve morning stress.
The first hour of the day is the perfect time to complete some goals. Write a page of that book you’ve been trying to get done, read a chapter, write for your blog. Accomplishing small goals is much easier after you have woken up. The reason for this is because you are more likely to blow something off after you have gotten home from work because you have worked all day. People usually come home, relax, watch TV and forget about doing things that they want to do.
I have experienced this first hand and I am actually doing it right about now. I woke up about 15 minutes ago and it is 8:03 right now. I haven’t even gotten out of bed yet and I am completing this before I move on to the rest of my day. Even if I don’t get a chance to write again today, I will know that I have accomplished something for this site today. Sounds pretty good to me.
Remember, this is the hour that counts. Make it a good one and your entire day will be great. Follow these tips and you will surely make it a good one.
