Mustard is not something that you should be giving your dog.
Now, if they lick some off of your plate, you don't need to worry too much. A little bit of mustard will not harm your dog.
If they eat a lot of mustard, on the other hand, it can be dangerous for your dog. Mustard contains mustard seeds which are to blame for the toxicity in dogs. Eating too much mustard can lead to gastroenteritis, which is the inflammation of the intestinal tract or stomach.
If you think your dog has eaten too much mustard you can check to see if they have been vomiting, have diarrhea, or seem like they have abdominal pain. If this is the case, you need to call your vet as soon as you can. Vets do, sometimes, use mustard to induce vomiting in dogs, so it isn’t something to panic over too much.
Mustard is definitely a food you should skip if you feed your dog scraps from the table.
